“Installed in one day” sounds like a sales line — but with polyaspartic it’s real. Here’s how a same-day garage floor actually works, and what makes it possible. (Full details in our polyaspartic garage floor guide.)
How a One-Day Install Works
Polyaspartic cures in a fraction of the time of epoxy — often tack-free in a couple of hours. That lets a trained crew grind, prep, and lay a full flake system in a single day: diamond-grind the concrete, repair cracks, prime, base coat, broadcast flake, and seal with a polyaspartic topcoat. You can typically walk on it that evening and park on it the next day.
Why Epoxy Can’t Do It
Standard epoxy cures slowly — often 72+ hours before you can park, and up to a week for a full cure. That’s the trade-off: epoxy is cheaper but ties up your garage for days. Polyaspartic’s fast cure is exactly what makes the one-day install possible — and it’s why it needs a professional crew, since the material sets in minutes and leaves no room for error.
